Statesman and politician Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe has expressed his dissatisfaction with the current government’s New Patriotic Party (NPP) for what he claims is the party’s inability to successfully run the country’s affairs.

Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe, who served as the former Kufour Administration’s ambassador to Serbia and president of the Ghana Football Association at various points in time, claimed that the NPP government has lost its way by failing to adopt the same measures that were taken by earlier administrations to lessen the economic hardships endured by Ghanaians.

According to him, the NPP government is ineffective because incompetent individuals were chosen for important positions to manage the business of the state. He suggested that the president immediately revoke their nominations.

He claimed that exporting items from Ghana, such as agricultural products, increases state revenue, and for this reason he was very interested in the President Akufo-strategy Addo’s known as Planting for Food and Jobs.

He suggested that Ghana could prepare some of the raw materials shipped before sending them elsewhere.

He lamented the failure of the NPP government to sustain the Planting for Food and Jobs policy as he said “the policy has totally collapsed”.

He also questioned the movement of commodities intended for civil servants from farm gates to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture’s forecourt.

“The Planting for Food and Jobs Market (PFJM) can never succeed. It will collapse. Is Accra the only place that has people? What about Sekondi Takoradi, Tamale, and other places? he questioned in an exclusive interview monitored by The Ghana Report on Joy News.

He questioned why those who break the law go unpunished while innocent and defenseless persons with no way to defend themselves are forced to face the law while the government fails to protect the state’s laws.

In order to effectively meet the needs and demands of Ghanaians, he urged the government to use the successful strategies that earlier presidents had developed to address the nation’s issues.
