The bonfire night is an element of the munufie festival. The bonfire night ritual (youth events) is carried out to proclaim the survival of the Mpuasu Japekrom people and the presence of their ancestors among them.
The Japekrom residents are eager to carry out this ceremony, and preparations are being made in that regard.
The ceremony will take place this evening, October 23, 2022, directly across from Japekrom Post Office.
A football game between Mpuasuman and Berekum Chelsea that was scheduled to take place later in the day was postponed owing to rain.
