On the Kintampo-Tamale Highway, an accident in Babato-Kuma has claimed the lives of two people.
According to reports, a second individual is critically ill and undergoing care at the government hospital in Kintampo.
The sad incident took place on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, in the evening.
The three were driving a Toyota Land Cruiser with the license plate GR 5031 YO from Kumasi to Tamale.
Two guys died instantly when the car’s tire broke, drove off the road, and hit a tree.
They spent some time stuck inside the car before being rescued by members of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
Employees of the Obuasi Gold Mines who were traveling from Obuasi to Tamale have been identified as the victims.
The bodies of the deceased have been placed at the Kintampo Government Hospital in the interim.
